1. Paper Plate Christmas Tree

Materials Needed:

– A paper plate

– Green paint or green pens

– Scissors

– Glue

– Pom-poms, stickers, or buttons for ornaments

– A star sticker or yellow paper to make a star

– Brown construction paper for the tree trunk (optional)

Instructions:

1. Paint the Plate: Start by painting the paper plate green.

If you don’t have paint, you can colour it with green pens or crayons.

2. Cut the Tree Shape: Once the paint is dry, cut the paper plate into three triangles (small, medium, and large). These will be the layers of your tree. I used a pencil and ruler for precise triangles but you don’t have to.

3. Build the Tree: Glue the triangles on top of each other. Start with the biggest on the bottom and the smallest on top, to form a tree shape.

4. Decorate the Tree: Glue pom-poms, stickers, or buttons onto the tree as ornaments.

5. Add the Star: Stick a star sticker, or sequin at the top, or cut out a star from yellow paper and glue it on.

6. Add the Trunk: If you want, cut out a small rectangle from brown paper for the tree trunk. Glue it at the bottom of your tree. We didn’t have any brown paper, so the girls cut out and designed their own pots for the base.

Now you have a cute paper plate Christmas tree!

Aside from waiting for the paint to dry, this is quick and fun todo for all ages.

These are great for decorating your home, hanging on the Christmas tree or using as cards.

2. Popsicle Stick Snowflakes

Materials Needed:

– 3 popsicle sticks (coloured or plain)

– Paint, pens or sequins

– Glue

– String or ribbon to hang it up

Instructions:

1. Paint the Sticks: If you want you can paint or colour the popsicle sticks with your favourite winter colours. White, blue, or silver.

Let them dry.

2. Make a Snowflake Shape: Arrange the three popsicle sticks in a snowflake shape by crossing them in the middle to form an asterisk (*).

Glue the sticks together where they meet in the centre.

3. Decorate the Snowflake: Add glitter, stickers, or even small beads to make it sparkle.

4. Add a Ribbon: Tie a piece of string or ribbon to one of the sticks so you can hang up your snowflake.

I personally have lots of fun doing this craft. Keeps little ones entertained for hours.

Hang your popsicle stick snowflake on your Christmas tree or in a window to catch the light!

3. Christmas Handprint Reindeer

Materials Needed:

– Brown, and white paper

– Red pom pom

– Pencil

– Scissors

– Glue

– Googly eyes (or you can draw eyes with a marker)

Instructions:

1. Make the Reindeer Face: Cut out a large oval from brown paper.

This will be the reindeer’s head. We didn’t have any brown paper, so we coloured them with pencils instead.

2. Draw Your Handprints: Place your hand on the brown paper and trace it with a pencil.

Cut out your handprint. Repeat to make a second handprint.

3. Make Antlers: Glue the handprints to the top of the oval to make the reindeer’s antlers.

4. Add Eyes and a Nose: Glue on googly eyes, or draw eyes with a marker.

Add a red pom pom on Rudolph’s nose and glue it in the middle of the reindeer’s face.

5. Add a Smile: Draw a happy smile on your reindeer with a marker.

Best personalised gift ever!

Now you have a cute handprint reindeer to hang up or give as a gift!
