1. Garden Camping

No need to find somewhere to pitch a tent. You have your own backgarden!

Bring out sleeping bags, tell stories, and gaze at the stars for a magical night under the sky.

2. DIY Water Park

Turn your garden into a water park. Use sprinklers, homemade slip-and-slides, and water balloon fights.

A few buckets of water can lead to hours of fun for my kids!

3. Nature Scavenger Hunt

Make a list of items like a feather, a smooth rock, or a flower and set out on a nature walk to find them.

You can do this at a park, in your neighborhood, or even in your backgarden.

Print off my ready-to-use scavenger hunt checklist, or make your own.

4. Park Hopping

Visit different local parks each week.

Explore new playgrounds, hiking trails, and picnic spots.

Bring a ball or frisbee for extra fun.

Check out my picnic guide here.

5. Library Adventures

Many libraries offer free summer reading programs, storytimes, and craft activities.

My kids love their local library.

Let kids pick out books and set a summer reading challenge.

6. Chalk Creations

Turn your driveway or pavement into an art gallery with chalk.

This keeps my little ones entertained for hours.

Try making a hopscotch board, a giant mural, or a colourful obstacle course.
