I love frugal date nights, not because I’m tight or don’t have the cash but because I love a bargain and I love to go against societal norms.
However, we used to have a lot of money issues, and lots of debt and this meant we couldn’t go out places for date nights or if we did we had to be very careful with how we spent our money.
We still are and so this is why I wanted to show you that you can still connect, be romantic, and have a date night without the added costs.
That’s why I created these 10 frugal date night inspirations for you.
Enjoy and don’t forget to comment at the end, I love hearing from you and subscribe to get access to FREE printables, newsletters, the latest posts and more.

Star Gazing is best done in the spring or summer.
If you can do it in your own garden even better, if not maybe go to your local outdoor space or drive a short distance out of time to a perfect spot where you can set up a blanket.
Maybe a bottle of bubbly if you are not driving and of course, relax, cuddle, talk and watch the stars.
This is a brilliant romantic frugal date night idea where you can really connect and enjoy each other’s company.
One of my favourites.
The classic Sunset
The opposite of the one above
but a classic and a very romantic and frugal date night idea.
Pack a picnic
and if possible set off to a scenic spot for a great view of the sunset.
This is still just as good and romantic in the garden too.
Sunsets make for great backgrounds for a beautiful romantic picture together to cherish forever too.
Games Night
This is a favourite of ours.
If you play board games you can always spice this up by making it strip games night too.
In the comfort of your own home, whether it’s a board game or on a console.
Grab some snacks and enjoy a fun, competitive frugal date night.
Dinner Date
Get all dressed up and have a romantic meal at home with candles, music and each other’s company.
Or If your budget allows, go to your favourite restaurant or try somewhere new.
Take a trip
This can be anywhere you like, the woods, seaside or town.
Pick somewhere new or a favourite place to visit.
Walk or park somewhere you don’t need to pay for parking even if this means walking a little further, a bonus of more quality time together arm in arm.
Either window shop, enjoy nature, sit and talk, read to each other, walk, cycle or have a cake in a tea shop if your budget allows.
Something new
Learning something new can still be a frugal date night experience.
Find something you both
want to learn and go for it, it’s fun learning and sharing together.
You don’t need to leave the house either.
You can learn a new language, by downloading the Duolingo app.
Learn a new recipe and cook a meal together.
Teach your other half how to dance,
this is fun and always ends in sex….for us anyway.
Making memories with music
This can be so romantic and if you have music downloaded or still have CDs then this is definitely a frugal date night idea.
Otherwise, you may want to spend some money on music you like if of course, your budget allows.
Make a playlist of your time together that you can enjoy over again.
Spa Night
You can give each other a spa makeover at home
or book a joint treatment of your choice and what your budget allows.
There are face masks, foot lotions, manicures, pedicures and massages with oil rather than creams.
All fun frugal date night ideas that will really help create a romantic physical and emotional bond.
Movie Night
If you have a subscription (like so many of us do) then use it to create a movie night, the best frugal date night there is.
We do this every Saturday night when the kiddies are in bed.
Putting the sofas together, get some snacks, cuddle up, watch a movie and share some much-needed quality time together.
Go to a show
Okay, I admit this last one isn’t quite a frugal date night idea but hear me out.
If you have been given some birthday money or if your budget allows, book a show, this doesn’t have to be London.
There are great shows going on in your local area, you just have to find them.
From comedy, Operas, Bands or Musicals there are always great fun-filled date nights.

The person behind it all
I am a Mumma of three, a Wife, a Home Educator, a Blogger and lastly a Chronic Pain Sufferer.
The most common questions I get asked are “How do I get my hair curly, is it natural?” “
“How are you so organised?”
“You must be really smart to educate your children, are you a teacher?”
and lastly “What is CRPS?”
I have suffered from chronic pain since the age of 10, it has been a daily struggle ever since.
I know thousands of people suffer as I do and I want to share what helps me and my expertise in CRPS, chronic pain and more.
So, I started this blog to share my answers to those questions, journey and experiences with you. I have always been passionate about health, personal growth, and creating a balanced lifestyle for myself and my family.
Searching for ways to enjoy life in a minimalistic way, be part of my children’s education and reduce stress and pain as a whole is important to me.
