The wonderful world of home education
The wonderful world of home education

Welcome to our home education journey.

I’m Berenice, My husband Paul, and our two gorgeous girls.

I remember fondly when and where we were when we decided we wanted to home educate.

This was our honeymoon, a year after we married, lying by the pool in Morocco.

At this time I was 3 months pregnant with our first, we talked for hours about what kind of life we wanted for our child.

It was then that we decided we were going to home educate.

That is exactly what we did with our children from the start (they never went to nursery either) and we haven’t looked back.

This blog is all about our journey, myths about home education, and places to visit.

If you want to start home educating your children, feel free to contact me with any questions below.

Places to visit in Bolton

Great week exploring Bolton and Manchester whilst Daddy was working.

We had a suite so the girls had their room at the hotel.

We went on the train from Bolton Stadium Hotel to Manchester. It wasn’t a long journey and an easy short walk from the station to the free museum.

In the museum, we went to an exhibition about Egyptian mummies and saw the dinos which was great, right up Mirabelle’s street.

The next day we went to a brilliant working farm called Smithills.

This place was amazing. Lots of play areas, lots of animals.

We could see where they milk the cows (you can get to see it happening but we didn’t) They also showed how they make butter.

We got to touch and hold loads of animals, tractor ride, and loads more. Definitely would go again!

On our last day, we only had the morning spare so we went to a woodland park.

We had ice cream, played in the massive play area, and did a beautiful trail/quiz before we collected Daddy and headed home.

Really lovely place and so much more to do there.

Bee

I’ve always loved planning, especially days out and holidays.

But after becoming a mum, I realised how overwhelming it can be to organise anything and keep family life running smoothly.

So I started Bees Organised Hive to help mums like us feel more prepared, more confident, and far less stressed when planning family adventures.
