Summer is such a special time, and if you have a new baby, like myself, it can be even more exciting (and maybe a little overwhelming!).
I am Bee, and I have just had my third baby. I am so grateful (and exhausted), but I still have to keep my other children entertained.
You know how I feel, right?
Well, whether you’re a first-time mum or juggling a newborn with older kids. There are so many fun ways to enjoy the season.
Here are some simple and sweet activities you can do with your baby this summer.
Enjoy and don’t forget to comment at the end, I love hearing from you and subscribe to get access to FREE printables, newsletters, the latest posts and more.

Get Outside and Enjoy Nature
Fresh air is great for both you and your new baby.
Especially when you are exhausted and feel like you want to sleep for a year. This really helps clear your head a little and lifts your mood.
Take a walk in the park, go for a picnic under a shady tree, or simply sit in your back garden. Let your little one experience the sounds of birds and the feel of a gentle breeze.
If you have older kids, let them run around while you relax with the baby!

Visit a Baby-Friendly Pool or Splash Pad
We are lucky that we have one close by. If you don’t have access to an outside splash park, you can always use a paddling pool in the garden.
On hot days, cooling off in the water is a must!
Some pools have special areas for babies where the water is shallow and warm.
If your baby is too young for swimming, you can dip their feet in the water. Or let them play with a small water-filled sensory mat.
If you have older kids, they’ll love splashing around, too!

Go to the Beach (or Create One at Home!)
A beach trip can be a great sensory experience for your baby.
The sound of the waves, the feel of sand between their toes, and the sight of the bright blue sky.
If traveling to the beach isn’t an option, fill a small tub with warm water and let them splash. Or create a mini sand play area with a shallow bin and some baby-safe sand.

Explore Local Farms or Petting Zoos
Many farms offer baby-friendly experiences like gentle animal encounters.
Seeing soft bunnies or fluffy sheep up close can be a fun and new experience for your little one.
Older kids will love it, too!
Have a Summer-Themed Sensory Playtime
Babies love to explore with their senses!
Try making homemade ice lollies with fruit puree (great for teething babies).
Or, fill a tray with different textures like cool damp sponges, soft fabric, and smooth pebbles.
Let them feel and explore in a safe way!

Join a Mum and Baby Class
Check out local baby yoga, music, or swimming classes.
It’s a great way to bond with your baby and meet other mums.
If you have older kids, see if there are sibling-friendly classes so everyone can join in.

Watch the Sunset or Have an Evening Stroll
Summer evenings can be magical.
Take a slow walk as the sun goes down and enjoy the cooler air.
It can be a relaxing way to help your baby and older children wind down for bedtime.

Make Special Memories with Photos
Take lots of pictures! I love photos!
Capture those little summer moments. Tiny feet in the grass, a first taste of watermelon, or a cosy cuddle in the shade. Don’t forget to include your other children, too, so they don’t feel left out.
You’ll cherish them forever.
Bee's Final Thoughts - Enjoy Simple Moments
Not everything has to be a big outing.
Some of the best moments happen at home.
Reading books, snuggling in a hammock, or just lying on a blanket together watching the clouds drift by.
No matter what you choose to do, remember to take it easy.
Babies don’t need big adventures to be happy, they just need you.
Enjoy the summer, soak in the cuddles, and make beautiful memories with your little one!
