I love being organised and productive, it helps me stay calm, focused and quite simply…. happy.

We want to make our lives as easy as possible right?

Well, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I want to share with you so you can get the most out of your day too.

First of all, I want to say there are some affiliate links below, and if you make a purchase, I will get a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Let’s jump right in and go with my absolute favourite way to be organised and productive, and that is (drum roll please) yes you know me, notebooks!

Notebooks, Organiser's and Planners

This daily organiser is a great tool for staying organised and productive.

By planning out your tasks and schedule in advance, you can prioritize your time effectively and ensure that you are focusing on the most important tasks each day.

This can help you stay on track, meet deadlines, and ultimately achieve your goals. It’s a simple but powerful tool that can make a big difference in your daily routine.

A useful planner is always a must when you want to be organised and productive!

I’m so in love with this planner and how it has an area for health and fitness, meals, gratitude and of course a to do list.

I wanted something that had it all and this is it. Plus the cute designs of Bees are an added bonus.

My Daily Organiser

My daily organiser is filled with ways to jot down important notes, top priorities for the day, things to be done and a lined section with the time to make sure you don’t overbook yourself…

Notebook

This cute notebook is filled with 120 lined pages, with nature inspired images to help you be as productive as possible. Useful for school, work, home and even as a gift….

Planner

Planners are a MUST, when you are looking to be organised and productive. This simple but effective planner will help you stay focussed and achieve your goals…

9 other ways to be organised and productive are:

Turn up 10 minutes early

Turning up 10 minutes early is important to me as I get rather stressed when I’m late for things, which is not good for my state of mind, relationships and focus.

Arriving 10 minutes early means, making sure the day before you know what route you are taking and how long it will take you.

Then you can decide what time you need to leave to get there.

Of course, be aware if you need to stop for fuel or food and find somewhere to park/walk to get to your location, this all adds time etc.

Pack the night before

If you need to pack lunch, books, toys, laptop, whatever it might be (in my case it’s all of the above) then do it all, or as much as you can the night before.

Doing this means, you can leave it by the front door, ready to scoop up as you leave the house.

What a massive help for me this is because I’m not running around stressed.

Trying to do it all before you leave and end up forgetting things and start shouting because it’s just all too overwhelming is not worth it for me.

Give yourself an easy time tomorrow by planning today.

Get your clothes ready

Another very useful way to be organised and productive is to get your clothes ready for the day the night before.

I have been doing this since I was a teen and I encourage my children and husband to do the same.

Not only does this help save energy, especially if you haven’t had your morning cuppa and then spend 10 minutes staring at your clothes in the morning thinking “I’ve got nothing to wear.”

This also saves you time, you don’t have to think, it’s all done for you by you. (thank you me)

organised and productive

Do a little everyday

Get organised and productive in your home by doing a little bit of housework every day, doing it like this means it doesn’t all build up and then you need to spend an entire day cleaning and tidying.

I have spent years trying out different methods.

Figuring out how I can get the jobs done in as little time as possible but still have a clean and tidy house and this is what I have been doing for some time.

30 minutes a day is all you need and I can show you how here.

Meal planning

Planning your meals is life changing, at least it is for me.

I plan out all our family meals for the week, usually on a Sunday and only shop once a week too.

By doing this I save time, money and energy that I can use for writing this post for you or playing with my kids.

I have a brilliant way to do this, check it out here.

Declutter

Having a cluttered home makes finding and storing your beloved items very difficult.

You can still be organised and productive in a small space and the trick to this, I believe is, that everything should have a home.

The best thing about decluttering is, you only need to declutter once/twice a year.

Once you have decluttered you will find things so much easier, you will be calmer and everyone in the household will know where to find things and more importantly where to put them back.

I have a clever way of doing this effectively and quickly, read here.

Sell it

If you have so many unwanted items around the house, either from decluttering, gifts or maybe just grown out of….

Sell it.

I use Vinted because it is easy, safe and quick.

Of course, there are lots of other ways to sell things, like Facebook marketplace, Gumtree, eBay and so on.

You can always take items to the charity shops too.

Be active

This one is a little different but I truly believe that this helps me be organised and productive.

Doing some form of exercise, whether it’s full on cardio or yoga, each day can change our mindset completely, it changes what we want to eat, releases our happy hormone (Dopamine) and keeps our minds calm and clear.

organised and productive

Put it away

This one really grinds my gears.

Lol. No, but seriously it does irritate me that when someone, not naming names (my husband, my kids) gets something out, they don’t always put it away!

If you are screaming “No way, that irritates me too” then awesome, comment and tell me your story, we can be irritated together.

We have worked so hard to be organised and productive by decluttering, using planners, and finding a home for everything for someone to leave it lying around. Sigh.

What we can do is, teach our children and partners to put things back once they have finished with them.

It may mean literally showing them where it goes and constantly reminding them but in the end, they will (sometimes) do it and then you can pat yourself on the back.

Now next time someone needs the screwdriver or kitchen roll it will be right where it should be, saving stress, time and tears.
